What is Green Energy?
Green energy is produced by different methods that use so-called renewable sources. These are natural phenomena that are part of the natural cycle, such as wind, sunlight, water power, soil energy and geothermal energy. In addition, it includes energy generated by the development of human technologies – biomass processing, landfill, sludge gas and biogas.

How does the Czech Republic approach this?
The Czech Republic has made a commitment in the form of the EU Accession Directive that by 2010 renewable energy sources (RES) will account for 8% of energy consumption. For 2030, it should be around 20-21%. The European Commission is developing this strategy as a long-term plan to 2050 under the Energy Plan. This shows that the share of green energy in the Czech Republic will no doubt continue to increase and we are trying to make these resources available to our clients. In addition to renewable electricity production (RES), there are also secondary sources (DZ) and combined heat and power (CHP).
Does it differ in price from conventional energy production?
Renewable energy production is more expensive than coal and nuclear power plants. The difference between the supported price of RES, DZ and CHP and the average market price is paid by end customers in the form of a regulated contribution.

Green Certificate
Once you contract to commit to using Green Energy, you get a certificate that you can use in your PR marketing. As a result, your business will present itself as a modern institution that is willing to build on current trends and think about the global future by using proven renewable energy sources.
